Photography has been a fascination of mine for my entire adult life. From simple, inexpensive little box-like film cameras to today’s not so simple, expensive, large digital SLRs. I devoured every publication I could find on photography, gathering knowledge along the way. My captive audience of family and friends have probably seen enough slide shows of flowers and old doorknobs to last them forever.

Many long hours were spent in the darkroom developing film and burning and dodging prints, and wasting chemicals and paper in the process. This has been replaced by equally long hours in front of the computer manipulating digital images through fancy graphics software. At least the digital waste is much easier on the environment and, fortunately, f8 is still f8.

My hobby has led me to doing photo assignments for folks who are looking for a particular result. I’ve also collected a library of photos that are available to those who would like to have one hanging on their wall.

Following is a small sample of the types of images I’ve created. These images have been downsized considerably for use on the web. For example, where a source image may be 12.5MB in size, the web version may only be .5MB. This obviously results in an image which is inferior to the original, however it’s small enough to allow a reasonable download speed and still convey the general look and feel of the image.
